Community Service

Our founding principle of Community Service is to serve our community and respect it. Without community service, the Rio Grande Valley would not have the support from its young adults as it does today. This is where we take pride in volunteering and giving our time back to the community. Even if it's only for a few hours, the extra hand we give out does make a significant change.

Community Service is an aspect of Sigma Lambda Gamma that allows members to exemplify the impact of change we wish to see in others and in our communities. It is our responsibility, as good citizens, to give back to our community. We demonstrate in action what being a sister of our organization is all about and what we believe in. Community Service is not only about giving back to others in need but it is also about empowering us as women leaders in our community.
